Abstract:AIM:To establish the cataract surgery management database according to the speciality of life-line express work flow for operation scheme, case, operation consumables management and investigation. METHODS:Based on the speciality of life-line express work flow,the physician designed the datasheet previously and established the cataract surgery database combined with operation consumables management system by Microsoft Access 2003，and tested it by network. RESULTS:The life-line express cataract surgery management database was established and successfully applied at Ledu station of Qinhai province and Xinxiang station of Henan province in 2011. CONCLUSION:Establishment of cataract surgery management database would benefit management of the cataract operation work flow, real time reveal of operation consumables and data analysis.It provides foundation for the life-line express work standardization.
