    Abstract:

    AIM:To explore the timing,method and the clinical efficacy for traumatic cataract.METHODS:Fifty cases of traumatic cataract were reviewed to analyse the clinical values of different methods of surgery selected according to the situation of traumatic cataract.RESULTS:Six or 12 months after operation,postoperative vision was increased in all patients.The best corrected vision was 0.05-0.25 in 12 eyes(24%),0.3-0.5 in 22 eyes(44%),> 0.5 in 16 eyes(32%).CONCLUSION:If the operator chooses the appropriate timing and method according to the situation of the eyes,better curative effect can be obtained in surgical treatment of the traumatic cataract.
