Abstract:ATM:To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect and adverse reaction of loteprednol etabonate combined with tobramycin-dexamethasone eyedrops in treatment of anterior uveitis.METHODS:The anterior uveitis patients treated in our hospital from February 2008 to October 2010 were chosen and randomly divided into A,B and C three groups,A group used tobramycin-dexamethasone eyedrops,B group used loteprednol etabonate eyedrops,C group used loteprednol etabonate combined with tobramycin-dexamethasone eyedrops. With continuous follow-up of six weeks, inflammation disappearance and adverse reactions were observed.RESULTS:Inflammation in group A subsidised fast with short duration, but a few of patients experienced drug-induced high intraocular pressure.Inflammation in group B subsidised slower, without drug-induced high intraocular pressure.Inflammation in group C subsidised fast with short duration, but no high intraocular pressure occured.CONCLUSION:In different treatment stages of anterior uveitis patients, loteprednol etabonate combined with tobramycin-dexamethasone can quickly control inflammation, shorten the duration of symptoms, safely and effectively prevent or reduce complications.
