    Abstract:

    AIM:To investigate different technique of manual small incision cataract surgery(MSICS) and its effects with soft and hard nucleus.METHODS:Totally 162 cases with 180 eyes were divided into three groups depending on the nucleus’hardness.Group A:57 eyes with gradeⅡnucleus.Group B:62 eyes with grade Ⅲ nucleus.Group C:61 eyes with grade Ⅳ-Ⅴ nucleus.They underwent MSICS with different technique respectively.RESULTS:The visual acuity after surgery and the complications between these groups had no statistically significant difference.CONCLUSION:The sugery effects and safety in MSICS can be improved if we use different technique to deal with hard and soft nucleus.
