Abstract:·AIM:To discuss treatment method and clinical curative effect of traumatic hyphema.METHODS:The treatment and effects of 90 cases of traumatic hyphema from January 2000 to December 2007 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Treatment was bandaging eyes,semi-supine,rest,application of hemostatic agents,mannitol,corticosteroids,neurotrophic agents,the necessary surgical treatment.Blood absorption time,complications,and vision were observed.RESULTS:A total of 88 cases of hyphema absorption were in 3-16 days,2 cases were of blood-stained cornea.After hyphema absorption,vision was <0.1 in 6 cases,0.1 to 0.3 in 9 cases,0.4 to 0.9 in 29 cases,≥ 1.0 in 46 cases.CONCLUSION:Vision recovery degree of traumatic hyphema is related with blood volume,contusion extent,the number of complications and therapy.
