    Abstract:

    AIM:To investigate the clinical results of phacoem-ulsification and intraocular lens(IOL) implantation combined with goniosychialysis for acute angle-closure glaucoma.METHODS:Phacoemulsification and IOL implantation combined with goniosychialysis was performed in 80 cases 80 eyes diagnosed with acute angle-closure glaucoma and cataract under high intraocular pressure(IOP).Followed-up for 6 months to 2 years postoperatively,the vision and complications were observed.RESULTS:The visual acuity of all cases was improved.The IOP remained normal in all eyes in 1 week postoperatively.CONCLUSION:The phacoemulsification and IOL implantation combined with goniosychialysis in the management of acute angle-closure glaucoma is safe and efficient.
