Abstract:Age-related macular degeneration(AMD) is the chief cause of severe and irreversible loss of vision and blindness for elderly people,and it severely affects the elderly and their family members’ physical and mental health.Based on the analysis of clinical features and pathogenesis of AMD,the latest clinical applications of AMD treatments are reviewed,and the adaptability of various treatments and their limitations are elaborated and explained.
