Chemokines and diabetic retinopathy

Abstract:

With the increment of diabetic patients,diabetic eye disease and its complications,especially diabetic retinopathy(DR),are the major causes of blindness.Besides the initiative of hyperglycemia,the complex network system composed of multiple cytokines causes the breakdown of blood-retinal barrier(BRB)and neovascularization,which is the pathologic basis of the development of DR.This thesis is mainly about the progress of research on the relations between chemokines and DR.
