    Abstract:

    ·AIM:To discuss interruption time point,surgical method and the functional effect of injury-caused lacrimal canaliculus break after stage I reconnection surgery.·METHODS:Totally 17 patients with broken lacrimal canaliculi from March 2006 to June 2007 were connected by holding AS-E plastic duct(inner dianmeter 0.5mm),and the surgical procedure and side-effects were analyzed.·RESULTS:Following-up 4-16 months,8 cases(47%)with the lacrimal canaliculi reopened,5 cases(29.5%)developed lacrimal canaliculi narrow,but 4 cases(23.5%)occurred the closed lacrimal canaliculi.·CONCLUSION:With the aid of AS-E plastic duct,the stage I lacrimal canaliculum reconnection surgery is effective for the lacrimal passage reopenning.·
