Abstract:Monovision was used to correct pre-presbyopia and presbyopia,one eye corrected for distance vision and the other eye for near vision.The mechanism that enables Monovision to succeed is interocular blur suppresion.Monovision is also used for correcting myopia of middle-age in past years.Mechanism,way of application and the effects on the visual function of Monovision are discussed in this review.
