Plasminogen activator is a kind of enzyme that plays a key role in the process of physiological hemostasis and thrombolysis. Its main function is to convert plasminogen into active plasmin, thereby initiating the dissolution of fibrin and maintaining blood mobility. This article discusses the safety of plasminogen activator in the intraocular application, elaborates on the types, structure, physiological function and mechanism of action of plasminogen activator in the eye.
